BuPP stands for Back-up Power Pod

A new concept in home emergency power systems.

In today's world, a power outage can be more than a mere inconvenience.  Your home is a an complex combination of systems that rely primarily on electricity.  When the power system fails, you and your home become vulnerable.

In the past, your only options were to light candles and wait for the power to come back on.  If you had invested in a generator, you would then have to pull it out of the garage, gas it up, hope it starts and plug your appliances in (enough extension cords?).  If you had invested the big bucks in an auto-start generator - you hope it starts.  Is the fuel supply adequate?  Pray the power comes back on soon because you are spending $$$ in expensive fuel every hour it runs.

The BuPP Back-up Power Pods are a state of the art devices which instantaneously energizes the critical circuits in your home - providing you with enough power for your life's and home's basics.

No, it's not going to power your hot tub, sauna and central air-conditioner but it will keep the lights on, refrigerator humming, sump pump pumping, deep freezer freezing and keep many other critical circuits on.

When you actually sit down and think what do you really need to be comfortable and secure in your home, you can generally narrow down to six appliances/circuits in your home.  And, of those circuits, you would be surprised to learn that they may not consume a lot of power but do run often or sporadically throughout the day.  These items include lights, refrigerator, garage door opener, sump pump, TV, home computers/network, security system, microwave, kitchen counter, gas furnace.  See Load Estimator for actual loads.

These loads, on average, run well below 2,000 watts (units of electrical energy).  Why run a large generator capable of producing 10,000 watts to run a few lights and a refrigerator consuming only 500 watts?  That generator keeps drinking fuel at a constant rate whether you are using power or not.

The BuPP PuPP is designed to provide approximately 24 hours of power for your home(4.32 KWHrs), making no noise, consuming no fuel, requiring no maintenance.  Its small footprint is simliar to a dorm refrigerator, 2' by 2', and stands only 28" high.  The BuPP easily installs near your existing breaker panel.   A typical installation takes only a few hours with no expensive gas lines, propane tanks or concrete pads.  A BuPP can also be provided with simply outlets for plug-ins.  This design is great for apartments and condos or if you only want to protect a few items (salt water aquarium, wine coolers).

The beauty of the BuPP is the less power you consume, the longer you can sustain an outage.  If the outage or your loads drain the BuPP's batteries, you can easily start up a small spare generator and use the generator to recharge the BuPP's batteries (takes a few hours) and you will be good to go for another 24 hours.  When the power grid is restored, the BuPP automatically recharges itself preparing for the next outage.

When you are on vacation, do you ever worry about you house?  Wouldn't it be a peace of mind knowing you are not coming home to a basement damaged by flooding or a refrigerator full of spoiled food?  Maybe your elderly mother could benefit from a BuPP - she shouldn't have to sit in the cold and dark, alone.  Your wife and children?  You can't start that noisy generator if you are at work or in another state.

The BuPP makes sense, think about it!
